The WorkingAge research project is going to start the In-Company tests, the final experimental phase in which the WorkingAge Of Wellbeing (WAOW) tool will be daily used by workers along their standard working days.
The objective of this crucial step is to test the effectiveness and the reliability of different modules constituting the WAOW tool. The modules are grouped in two categories: i) the sensors’ subsystems which will provide information about the worker’s mental and physical state through the analysis of neurophysiological signals, and ii) the Decision Support System (DSS) which is the reasoning engine of the WAOW tool and which will provide suggestions and recommendations to the workers accordingly with their physical and mental status to improve their working life and health.
BrainSigns has just completed the integration among all the sensors to gather neurophysiological signals, i.e. the Electroencephalogram (EEG), Electrodermal Activity (EDA or GSR) and Electrocardiogram (ECG) in collaboration with EXUS, the partner of the consortium responsible for the software and hardware integration of the WAOW tool. All the sensors are going to be wirelessly connected to a Next Unit of Computing (NUC) using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication protocol.
